Multi-Family Residential Water Use Analysis (Orlando, FL)

This project analyzes daily per-unit water use in multi-family residential communities across the Orlando Utilities Commission's (OUC) service territory in Orlando, FL. The goal is to support OUC in reducing over-extraction from the Central Florida Aquifer by identifying the infrastructure factors that most influence high water use.

WEAP and Water Audit Analysis

This project utilized Python and Excel to analyze the relationship between Water Efficiency Alert Program (WEAP) notifications and customer water audits to assess program overlap and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness. Insights from this analysis quantified customer savings for inclusion in the Annual Conservation Goal Implementation Plan.

Understanding Childcare Costs - Empowering Teen Mothers

This project centers on equipping teen mothers in Orlando, FL with practical tools to manage childcare costs and access job opportunities. By incorporating localized wage and cost data, the content offers realistic budgeting and employment strategies tailored to young moms. The findings were shared through three mediums: a slide deck presentation for structured delivery, a TikTok video or accessible engagement on a teen-friendly platform, and an infographic for quick reference.

Impact of Women's Education Levels on Wages and Birth Rates

Co-authored with Allison Biediger, this research project investigates how women’s education levels in the US influence two socioeconomic factors: wages and birth rates. Using historical data from 1973-2022, the paper applies linear regression, time series forecasting, and random forest modeling to identify trends and make predictions. The study highlights implications for policymakers, educators, public health officials, and businesses—emphasizing how education shapes both economic opportunity and family planning. Ultimately, the project advocates for greater investment in education to foster a more equitable and economically resilient society.

TSA Complaints

This analysis and associated blog post explores complaint trends in US air travel with frequent travelers as the primary audience. Using a humorous, informal tone, it compares airports and complaint categories to help readers navigate travel more wisely.

Kia and Hyundai Theft Awareness for Milwaukee

Focuses on the surge in Kia and Hyundai thefts, targeting Milwaukee HOA members with a flyer from the perspective of an HOA president. The purpose is to raise awareness and encourage preventative action using clear and relatable data.

White House Visitor Log Exploration

This project explores visitor log data from the White House, specifically focusing on visits categorized as “tours” during the 2023-2024 school year. The target audience is schoolteachers, and the purpose is to encourage them to consider White House tours as educational opportunities. A trifold brochure was chosen as the medium to convey key findings and promote further research. Visuals were patriotic and clear, and ethical considerations were taken to ensure anonymized and relevant data presentation.
